Room 2 Manoeuvre: Without A Hitch

Date: 7th Oct 2017

Location: Theatre

Time: 19:30

Hip hop, ya don’t stop’ – but all good things must come to an end.

Room 2 Menoeuvre

Without a Hitch follows the downward spiral of a four man b-boy crew as ambition, jealousy and frustration manifest in a group struggling to move in the same direction. Featuring an international cast from Finland, Sweden and the UK, expect plenty of dark comedy, powerful breakdancing and slick production from Room 2 Manoeuvre’s new hip hop dance theatre show.

“A wickedly funny exposé of the internal rivalries and mighty egos behind some very tasty, tight and smoking dance” The Herald Scotland

Susan Tomes in Lecture and Recital

Date: 7th Oct 2017

Location: Venue 1

Time: 19:00

Susan Tomes is not just a terrific pianist but also a great guide to how music works!

Susan Tomes

Schumann: Kinderszenen (scenes from Children)

Schumann: Kreisleriana

In the first of three concerts, she analyses and explains what makes Schumann’s Kinderszenen so special before performing them. The programme is completed by another Schumann masterpiece Kreisleriana, a very dramatic work and considered to be one of Schumann's finest compositions. In 1839, soon after publishing it, Schumann called it in a letter "my favourite work".

Tomes allowed the music speak for itself, delivering the most ravishing interpretations completely unfettered by affectation or indulgence.” Scotsman
