Silence in Court
Inspired by the classic 70s TV series Crown Court.
Enjoy your meal, served by The Bistro at The Brunton before joining us in the court room. The whole experience takes place in Venue 2, with cabaret style seating.
GUILTY OR NOT GUILTY? YOU DECIDE!
Charles Brand, a minister’s son is charged with the rape of Jennifer Lyons. As the events leading up to the alleged assault are explored, who will you believe?
Silence In Court draws on real life procedures from a number of different legal traditions to create a mock court in which you the audience have the option to join the jury and discuss what has been heard, until a majority decision is reached. Feel free to make notes. You will also be given an opportunity to cross examine both complainer and accused. Those not on the jury will also have opportunities to voice their thoughts on the proceedings. Inspired by the classic 70s TV series Crown Court.
