Our lunchtime recitals include established and emerging, prizewinning performers with sparkling programmes of music, specially selected for you to enjoy. 

Event Description

Relax at lunchtime in the beautiful Northesk Parish Church, Musselburgh. A light lunch of soup and a sandwich is served in the Church Hall adjacent to the church. 

 

Classical music is for everyone to enjoy, no previous knowledge is needed to enjoy our concerts. If you can't make it for lunch, you are welcome to book for the concert only.

 

Ariel Lanyi, Piano

Schubert: Piano Sonata in G major D894

Mendelssohn Fantasy in F-sharp minor, Op. 28

 

Now developing a major international career, Ariel Lanyi returns with a programme built around two romantic masterpieces. Mendelssohn was a virtuoso pianist as well as a great composer and conductor. Schubert's piano sonatas transport the listener to another world outside daily life.

Lunch is served at 12pm.

This event will be held at Northesk Parish Church, North Bridge Street, Musselburgh EH21 6AG. 

  • Seating is unallocated.
  • Interval refreshments are served in the church hall, adjacent to the church.
  • There are 2 steps into the church with a ramp that can be placed over the steps.
  • There are level access toilets inside the church hall, accessed by going out of the church and into the adjoining hall.
  • Spaces for wheelchairs are at the side, front of the church.
  • Accessible parking is across the road, with designated parking bays on Ladywell Way.
  • Gracefield car park is behind The Brunton and there is also a car park on Ladywell Way.
