Auditions announced for Young Chorus, to join our professional pantomime

Our Chorus will join the professional cast on stage at both the Corn Exchange, Haddington and Loretto Theatre, Musselburgh for this festive treat for all ages, directed by Bruce Strachan. Working in rotation, these groups play a crucial role in this seasonal spectacular.

Brunton Panto 2024 Chorus Rehearsal

The Brunton is looking for enthusiastic and talented performers to play the Chorus in The Wizard of Oz, this year’s fun-filled magical, musical pantomime.


Participants are not required to pay a fee to be part of this production.
Those eligible to audition will be in school years P4 – S4, below 16 years old and able to sing, dance and act.

Auditions take place on Thursday 18 September at Musselburgh Grammar School. 
Auditionees are required to sign in from 5.30pm, the audition will run from 6.00pm – 8.30pm.

Audition places must be booked in advance by email to theatreadmin@eastlothian.gov.uk no later than Monday 15 September, with participant’s full name, date of birth, medical conditions (if any), emergency contact, address and school included.

Weekly rehearsals begin in October at Musselburgh Grammar School. The full rehearsal schedule will be confirmed at the audition.

The Brunton’s annual pantomime is a much loved festive extravaganza. Joining the chorus is a fantastic experience and a wonderful opportunity to take part in a professional production.
The Wizard of Oz is produced by The Brunton, written by Jack Nurse and Robbie Gordon the team behind last year’s hit panto, A Christmas Carol.
