Calling young singers, dancers and actors to be part of The Brunton’s swashbuckling panto adventure Peter Pans, on stage at Corn Exchange Haddington this December.
Chorus auditions take place on Wednesday 9 September at Corn Exchange, Haddington for young people in P4 to S4 resident in East Lothian, who can dance, sing and act.
Audition places must be booked in advance by email to theatreadmin@eastlothian.gov.uk no later than Tuesday 8 September, with the participant’s full name, address, date of birth, medical conditions (if any), emergency contact, and school included.
P4 to P7: Registration from 3.30pm, audition 4.00pm to 5.45pm
S1 to S4: Registration from 6.00pm, audition 6.30pm to 8.30pm
Participants should wear comfortable clothing suitable for movement and bring a bottle of water. Dance shoes may be worn but are not required. No previous experience is necessary. Participants will be taught a short piece of choreography during the audition which they will perform as part of a group.
Taking part in The Brunton’s panto chorus is free and is a fantastic opportunity to be involved with a professional pantomime. All that is asked is a commitment to attend all rehearsals and allocated show dates.
Weekly rehearsals begin the week of 28 September and take place in Haddington and Musselburgh. The full rehearsal schedule will be confirmed at the audition.
Peter Pans is a professional pantomime, produced by The Brunton, written by Paul Beeson and directed by Bruce Strachan (director of The Brunton’s 2025 hit panto The Wizard of Oz).
The Brunton’s annual pantomime is a much-loved festive extravaganza. Joining the chorus is fun and helps build confidence, fuels the imagination and develops skills that are useful in all areas of life. It is a fantastic experience and a wonderful opportunity to take part in a professional production.
The professional cast is led by The Brunton’s favourite panto Dame, Graham Crammond and is supported by a talented chorus of local young performers. This is the ultimate festive treat for all ages.
The Brunton specialises in producing fun and interactive pantomimes, suitable for all ages, rooted in the community. All performances this year will be at the Corn Exchange in Haddington.
