East Lothian Libraries’ Local History Centre is thrilled to celebrate its 50th Anniversary with this highlight event! Join us for a special interview session with Professor Sir Tom Devine, Scotland’s most eminent historian, who will speak about his career, research, and publications, the importance of history and local studies, as well as answer some of your questions.

Bring your history books for an autograph & photo session too!

Running Time: approx. 1 Hour (Followed by Q&A)

Venue & Accessibility

This event will be held at the Corn Exchange, Court Street, Haddington EH41 3DS.

  • The Corn Exchange has recently been refurbished and we have added a technical infrastructure for the stage, sound and lighting especially for live performances.
  • You can choose your seat for this event.
  • Seats are on one level, with a raised stage.
  • A selection of interval refreshments are available, and the town has several restaurants and bars.
  • Located on Court Street, the main road through Haddington, there is free parking at the rear of the building.
  • Access into the building is level, with accessible toilets inside.
