Our Northesk Church afternoon concerts, are just an hour long, followed by time for a free cuppa and chat. Join us for a relaxing break from life’s hustle and bustle. 

Event Description

Scottish guitarist Ian Watt has appeared throughout the world, giving solo recitals in the USA, China, South Korea, Brazil, Spain, Italy, Germany, Czech Republic, Hungary, Ukraine and Denmark. He has performed concertos with the BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra, Los Angeles Chamber Orchestra, City of London Sinfonia and Scottish Philharmonic Orchestra and his playing has been broadcast on BBC Radio 2, BBC Radio 3, BBC Radio Scotland, Classic FM, NDR Radio and WSMC Radio. Additionally, he has made three solo recordings for Nimbus Alliance.
In addition to performing, he is a committed teacher who has given masterclasses throughout the world and is at present a lecturer at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland.

Venue & Accessibility

This event will be held at Northesk Parish Church, North Bridge Street, Musselburgh EH21 6AG. 

  • Seating is unallocated.
  • There are 2 steps into the church with a ramp that can be placed over the steps.
  • There are level access toilets inside the church hall, accessed by going out of the church and into the adjoining hall.
  • Spaces for wheelchairs are at the side, front of the church.
  • Accessible parking is across the road, with designated parking bays on Ladywell Way.
  • Gracefield car park is behind The Brunton and there is also a car park on Ladywell Way.
  • Buses stop close by. Musselburgh is served by Lothian and East Coast buses.
