Mandolin, fiddle and guitar - Scottish traditional music for a new generation
Our concerts are open and accessible to everyone, if you can’t make it for lunch, you are welcome to book for the concert only.
Grim Twinkle is Iain MacLeod - mandolin, Amy Geddes - fiddle and Mike Bryan - guitar.
Founding member of Scottish "acid croft" pioneers Shooglenifty, Iain helped redefine Scottish traditional music for a new generation.
Amy is widely recognised as a leading light in the world of contemporary Scottish Fiddle, recently cocreating the sell-out 5 star show Deiseil: Dancing in Time.
Now a member of the Poozies, 10 years as guitar accompanist for the BBC Young Trad competition makes Mike’s CV read like a ‘who’s who’ of top traditional musicians in Scotland. Think inspirational new music, rooted in the tradition with melodic intricacy and rhythmical genius!
Our lunchtime recitals include established and emerging, high calibre performers with sparkling programmes of music, specially selected for you to enjoy. Relax at lunchtime in the beautiful North Esk Parish Church, Musselburgh.
A light lunch of soup and a sandwich is served in the Church Hall adjacent to the church.
Lunch is served at 12 noon
Concert running time: 1h
