We welcome Royal Northern Sinfonia back to their regular festive slot at Northesk Parish Church, and their traditional winter concert. A selection of beautiful, atmospheric pieces carefully chosen to make you feel warm from the inside out.

Event Description

Directed by Artistic Partner Maria Włoszczowska, the string players of Royal Northern Sinfonia perform a selection of beautiful, atmospheric pieces carefully chosen to make you feel warm from the inside out on
a cold winter’s night. Henry Purcell’s The Fairy Queen and the music of Jean-Philippe Rameau take centre stage while principal viola Michael Gerrard takes the spotlight in Telemann’s Viola Concerto.

This event will be held at Northesk Parish Church, North Bridge Street, Musselburgh EH21 6AG. 

  • Seating is unallocated.
  • Interval refreshments are served in the church hall, adjacent to the church.
  • There are 2 steps into the church with a ramp that can be placed over the steps.
  • There are level access toilets inside the church hall, accessed by going out of the church and into the adjoining hall.
  • Spaces for wheelchairs are at the side, front of the church.
  • Accessible parking is across the road, with designated parking bays on Ladywell Way.
  • Gracefield car park is behind The Brunton and there is also a car park on Ladywell Way.
