A fascinating and humorous evening with one of the most accomplished mountaineers of all time.
Simon Yates is best known for his role in the harrowing expedition to the Andes documented in Joe Simpson’s bestseller Touching the
Void.
Following that experience in Peru, Simon has been increasingly drawn to places where few others have trod. This talk features spectacular images and film from some of the most remote and rarely visited
mountain ranges of the world. From the Arctic to the Antarctic and Alaska to Central Asia - there is hardly a significant range that Simon has not visited.
Share with him the drama, excitement and beauty of modern, lightweight alpinism. Told with wit and dry humour, lavishly illustrated with images and film collected on his great climbs.
A fascinating and humorous evening, acclaimed by both theatre patrons and outdoor enthusiasts alike!
Running Time: 1h 45m
