Songs from the Last Page is written and performed by the acclaimed composer and songwriter, Gareth Williams. Each song in the collection takes the last lines of iconic Scottish literature - the novels and stories that we love - and transforms these final pages into something brand new, sung from the piano, accompanied by violin and cello duo, Sequoia.
From the melancholy mastermind of Arthur Conan Doyle’s The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes to Kirsty Campbell’s joyful farewell in Ely Percy’s Duck Feet, this spell-binding concert captures the moment a reader finishes the last lines of a book and holds on to this feeling for just a few more minutes.
“By breathing new life into well-loved stories, he uncovers the extraordinary within the ordinary, delivering a resounding celebration of creativity itself…Songs from the Last Page is a must see.” EdFestMag
“It’s an absolutely delightful experience, thoughtful, and even a touch surprising.” The Quintessential Review
