We welcome harpist Mary Reid to our Bite-Sized Concerts series. 
Our Northesk Church afternoon concerts, are just an hour long, followed by time for a free cuppa and chat. Join us for a relaxing break from life’s hustle and bustle. 

Event Description

Mary performs as a soloist, chamber musician and orchestral harpist, and has a passion for giving recitals that showcase the harp’s full potential, especially in rural communities. She has performed on several recordings, and has been concerto soloist. 

After studying in Los Angeles, Chicago and Edinburgh, Mary gained both her MA in Performance with Distinction and her Bachelor of Music (1st Class Hons) from the Royal Academy of Music.

Venue & Accessibility

This event will be held at Northesk Parish Church, North Bridge Street, Musselburgh EH21 6AG. 

  • Seating is unallocated.
  • There are 2 steps into the church with a ramp that can be placed over the steps.
  • There are level access toilets inside the church hall, accessed by going out of the church and into the adjoining hall.
  • Spaces for wheelchairs are at the side, front of the church.
  • Accessible parking is across the road, with designated parking bays on Ladywell Way.
  • Gracefield car park is behind The Brunton and there is also a car park on Ladywell Way.
  • Buses stop close by. Musselburgh is served by Lothian and East Coast buses.
